Opal’s litter has been a real rollercoaster for us. It just goes to prove how tough breeding can be and that there are a lot of hard decisions and heartbreak that goes with the joy of the babies.
I realised today that Opal’s colourpointed girl wasn’t thriving. Although she lined up with the others on Opal she wasn’t drinking. Later she was lying away from the litter – always a bad sign. Despite trying to keep her going with milk and tlc it was not to be and she slipped away this evening.
Opal has 4 lovely boys and a girl left to look after and fingers crossed things are plain sailing from here.
