Poor Opal

This weekend was rather a traumatic one for us and Opal.  Opal showed signs of going into labour on Saturday and started pushing on Sunday.  It became clear after a while that things weren’t going to plan and we rushed her off to see Catherine and Erin at Park Hill Vets in Tiverton (http://parkhillvets.moonfruit.com/).  Unfortunately Opal needed a caesarian to get the remaining babies out.  I cannot praise Catherine and Erin enough, they were efficient, caring and devoted to the job in hand.

We were thrilled to bring home Opal if a little dazed and confused with her 6 little bundles.  She is being a good girl nursing while she recuperates and looking after her babies with a little help from us.
